7-Data Recovery Suite knows no distinction between text-based documents and media files, between external and internal drives, or between deleted, lost, or formatted data when it comes to retrieving your lost files and folders. It can recover a specific file or an entire partition, and it provides you with all the tools you need to locate, preview, and restore your lost files.
Clearly inspired by the newest Widows 8 OS, the program’s interface shows four large icons that serve as an entry point to the program’s four main functions – deleted recovery, complete recovery, lost partition recovery, and digital media recovery. Each of them attacks a different problem, though they all follow a similar pattern. Deleted recovery has been designed to help you retrieve specific files or folders that have been deleted (accidentally or not) using common deletion methods (recycle bin, Shift+Del, etc.). If it is media files that you are in need of recovering though, “digital media recovery” is your best option. It uses specific algorithms to search and retrieve audio and image files, regardless of the device where they were stored. Once located, photos and other image files can be previewed using the program’s built-in viewer.
When data loss happens as a consequence of a disk or partition failure, “complete recovery” is the tool to use to dig up your valuable lost data. Finally, “lost partition recovery” is the right choice for corrupted MBR, drive crashes, or repartitioned disks. All four options will perform a thorough scan of the disk or partition in question, and will display all those files that can be effectively retrieved. Compressed, encrypted, deleted, or raw files will be conveniently labeled for your information.
Thus, versatility and flexibility are probably the words that best define 7-Data Recovery Suite. Suitable for all storage devices, capable of detecting and retrieving all types of files, this is a serious contender to consider when looking for an efficient recovery tool.
